VALEDICTORY.
SERGT.-AIAJOR AIORRISON,
The members of the E.C.AI H. met at Dustin’s last night to bid farewell to Sergt.-Alajor Alorrison, who is leaving for AA’liangarei. Captain Tombleson,, on behalf of of corps, presented Air. Alorrison with a travelling companion, and spoke in .high terms of his services to tho corps. The toast of tho guest of the evening was proposed by Captain Tombleson, who was supported by Captain Colebburne. Air. Alorrison, in reply, thanked members for their present, and said that lie hoped at some future date to renew acquaintance with the corps. The toast, “Army, Navy, and volunteers,” was proposed by Lieutenant Evans, and responded to by Captain Colebourno and Sergeant Ellis. „ , . , Quartermaster-Sergeant Zachariali proposed the toast of Airs. Alorrison and family, and spoke of the loss the corps was suffering by Air. Alorrison s departure. Other toasts proposed were those of Captain Tombleson and ex-members of the corps, which was responded to by the Parker brothers. During the evening songs were sung bv Messrs R. and J. Parker, Zaeliariah, and Long, and Air. A\. Olhvier gave a recitation Sergeant Ellis presided at the piano.
