(Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, October 22. The Government lias given a good deal of attention to the Anti-Gamb-ling Bill, and it may ho expected to make its appearance within a week or ten days.

WHEAT AND FLOUR DUTY.

On being asked whether ho would give an explanation of his proposed wheat and flour sliding duty scale, which is subjected to some adverse criticism in an advertisement now appearing in several newspapers, the Prime Minister said that ho cpuld give no information further than that already given until the Bill was intraduced*.
