SHOCK OF EARTHQUAKE.
SHORT BUT SHARP
There was an exceedingly sharp shock of earthquake at about 13 minutes past 4 o’clock this morning. It only lasted a .few seconds, but while in progress it sent the buildings of the town rocking from side to side, and was one of tho .most severe experienced for .years.
