BUSINESS NOTES.
Messrs. E. S. Malcolm and Co., late of the Central Auction Rooms, Christchurch, announce having taken over The Mart, Love-street. They start business on Monday as general auctioneers, valuators, etc. Outdoor sales will bo conducted personally by Mr. Malcolm, and regular Saturday sales will bo held at the Mart of furniture and effects, merchandise, poultry, etc. They offer to buy outright furniture and effects from clients not wishing to take tlie trouble and risk of an auction sale. Property lists aro to be pubished monthly. Messrs. Bennett and . Sherr.aht have an important business . announcement elsewhere. A specialty is made of woolpacks, twine, and other supplies for the shearing season. Property-holders will be. iinterested in their stocks of grass-seed, of which a large variety is kept on hand. Station supplies, also, aro a line specially catered for, from groceries to fencing wire. The firm have tho agency for marine and fire insurances, and are agents for Reid and Gray’s agricultural implements.
Summer millinery, gloves, sunshades, lace neckwear, ladies’ and gentlemen’s umbrellas, panama hats and straw boaters, and other summer goods are advertised by Messrs. C. Rosie and Co. Mr. Cato, dentist, has a notification concerning teeth extraction at a low figure. A young ladv for the drapery trade is required. A number of town properties are wanted by Mr. C. G. Bloorc, who has buyers waiting to be suited. Tlio Borough Council calls tenders for forming and shingling Abattoirroad. A smart kitchen boy is wanted. The Beehive, Peel-street, advertise a choice assortment of fancywork, also an assortment of toys.
