FIRST ASSISTANTS’ SALARIES.
PETITION TO PARLIAMENT.
Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 15. Mr. Arnold has arranged for the jietition of the first assistants'in the public schools of tho Dominion, asking for au increase of salaries, to be beard by the Education Committee next Tuesday, so as to give representatives of the. teachers an opportunity to give evidence if they so wish.
