HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Tho House met at 2.30 p.m. GENERAL. The Taranaki Botanic Garden Act Amendment. Bill (Mr. Okey) passed its committee stages. Tho Wanganui Harbor Bill (Mr. Hogan), the Wliangamoniona County Bill (Mr. Symes), the Tapanui Hospital Reserve Vesting Bill (Mr. Malcolm), the Nelson Hospital and Charitable Aid Board Empowering Bill (Mr. Graham), the Gore Agricultural and Pastoral Association Vesting and Enabling Bill (Mr. McNab), tho Thames Harbor Board Bill (Mr. McGowan), and the Otago Harbor Board Empowering Bill (Mr. Millar) were read a second time. Tho Standing Orders were suspended, and each of the above Bills was put through all stages and passed. The Petone Water Supply Conservation Bill was reported. Clause 6 was struck out, and the Bill put through all its stages and passed. Mr. Millar gave notice to introduce tho Harbor Works Bill, the Fisheries Act Amendment, Scaffolding Inspection Amendment, Agricultural Implements Importation and Sale Bill, and Workers’ .Compensation for Accident Amendment. . Tho Premier gave notice to introduce the Gaming and Lotteries Act Amendment Bill. Tho House, adjourned at 3.40 p.m. Tho House resumed at 7.30 p.m. LEAVE OF ABSENCE. One week’s leave of absence was granted to Mr. Davey on account of ill-health. THE LAND BILL. The House went into committee on tho Land Laws Amendment Bill.
