Messrs Miller and Craig report the following prices at Saturday morning’s sale: —‘Hens 2s to 2s 7d, roosters 2s to 2s 3d, ducks 2s 2d to 2s 6d, cabbage plants 5d bundle, lettuce plants 3d bundle., carrots 2s 6d dozen bundles, Is 9d to 4s sack, cabbage .2s to 3s- 3d dozen, lemons 3d dozen, cauliflowers 2s 6d to 4s 9d dozen, leeks 3d bundle, artichokes Is 6d bag. onions lid lb, eggs 9d to lOd dozen, butter lOd to Is lb, oranges 3s 6d to 5s 6d case, apples 7s to 8s case, potatoes 13s 6d sack, bacon 8d to Bjd lb, hams BJd lb.
HORSE SALE. There was a good attendance at Messrs Williams and Kettle’s horse bazaar oil Saturday afternoon, when 62 lots were submitted to the hammer. Twenty unbroken 3-year-old half-draughts, by Honest Jack, offered on behalf of J\Xr. M. H. Strackan, of Waimata, elicited good competition, and brought a satisfactory figure, Mr. Black being the principal purchaser. All round the prices were good, about 35 horses being sold. Details:—
