Mr. McCullough lins received another communication from tlio Government regarding his suspension, but declines to disclose its nature. Ho purposes delivering an address in Cathedral Square on Sunday afternoon, when ho will go into tho wholo difference between himself and the Government, also tho wholo question of restriction of civil servants’ political rights.
A SIGN OF CONCILIATION,
CHRISTCHURCH. Oct. 11. Mr. L. A McCullough has so far received no reply from the Government to his letter in response to tho second communication from the Minister. He informed a reporter tonight that until ho received that reply Invalid not think he would address any public meeting on tho question of the restriction of the political rights of Civil Servants. He expected, howover, to receive a reply tomorrow.
