United Press Association—Copyright (Received Oct. 3. 0.48 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 2. A sensational explosion ocicurred at Circular Quay this evening. A launch belonging to Mort’s Dock with over 30 dock hands aboard was lying at the Quay when tho boiler burst. Tl le noise was heard for miles. 1 The vessel opened up and sank. All were rescued. The master of the launch received a few scratches. No one else receivthe slightest injury. Pieces of wreckage wero hurled -into George Street*. The furnace door was thrown into the air and crashed on to the deck of tho steamer Eastern There were many narrow escapes from flying debris.
