ROWING.

•GISBORNE ROWING CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Gisborne Rowing Club was hold last evening at the Masonic Hotol, there being a large attendance. Mr. A. Coleman presided. The committee’s report stated that during the past season there were more then tho usual number of breakages of oars. The practice fours were in a very bad state, and it would be necessary to consider buying a new boat. Thanks were extended to Dr. Schumacher and Messrs. C. Buscke, TV'. J. Hennessy, TV. E. Cederwall. and E. Swinndrton for trophies donated, and also to Mr. TV. Haekott for services as coach. The balance-sheet showed that tho club commenced last season'with an overdraft of £l3 14s Id, the expenditure was £55 6s 4d, and the receipts £S3 Os 6d, leaving a credit balance of £l4 Os Id. The assets were shown to total £496 15s Id, and the liabilities £32. leaving a balance of assets of £46-1 15s Id. The following new members were elected: —Messrs. G. Buffett, 1). Miller. A. J. Sutcliffe, E. Luttrell, 1. Grinlinton, A. M .Orpwood, C. Rog- , ers, McGufiie, J. Haslett, Stephenson, • Grieve, Chut field, Tait, Swinnerton. and S. Coleman. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr. A. F. Kennedy ( re-eleeto:l) ; vice-presidents. Messrs. R. Johnston, J. TV. Hennessy, TV. F. Cederwall, E. H. Gibbon, TV. Miller, and T. Adair; captain, Mr. D. E. Dustin; deputy captain, Mr. C. Hamilton; secretary, Mr. F. Camming; treasurer, Mr. A. E. N. Smith; assistant treasurer, Mr. H. P. Hamilton; committee, Messrs. P. C. Bayly, G. R. Buscke, H. M. Puflett, C. M. Sargisson, E. Swinnerton, and D. Cowan; auditors, Messrs. R. D. B. Robinson and L. B. Sherriff. It was resolved that the delegates to tho Hawke’s Boy Association be instructed to support Wanganui's appeal for the annual championship regatta to be held there this season.' Messrs. Chas.
