WELLINGTON INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION.

Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 17. The annual meeting of_ the Wellington Industrial Association .was held .to-night. Mr. J. Luke, speaking to the motion for the adoption of the report expressed approbation of the Government’s scheme regarding the new tariff. He believed, the tariff was not altogether in keping with the desires of some members of the Association, as it did not go as far as they desired, but he sohßidered the new tariff would considerably improve the position of the colony’s industries. Mr. F. C. Crease, was elected president for the ensuing year. The incoming committee was instructed to take steps towards re-forming the Industrial Association of New Zealand.
