Press Association. AUCKLAND, September 16. Robert Fry, aged 34, a resident of Newmarket, was knocked down by a tram this afternoon and seriously injured, his back being broken. He was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. YVHANGAREI, September 16. An old-age pensioner, John Morton, aged 74, was found hanging dead from a rafter in his whare at Otaika. NAPIER, Sept. 16. An inquest on the body of John Morris Shannon, who was found hanging by a strap in an outhouse at the Stortford Lodge Hotel on Sunday morning, was held this afternoon. A verdict of suicide while temporarily insane was returned.
