WHEREAS the* laml -mentioned in tho Schedule liereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” for tho purposo of a road: And whereas tho Cook County Council lias laid before the Governor tho memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by “The Public Works Act, 190:")“ : Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other power and authority in anywiso enabling mo in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after tho date of tho publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purpose of the said road. in tho lTa-wke’s Bay Land Disrict ; as the same is more particuarly delineated on tho plan marked md colored as above mentioned, and leposited in the office of the Grief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in he Wellington Land District. Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of tlxe Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of tho Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Com-mander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the Said Golonv, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven.
