FATAL LAMP ACCIDENT.
Press Association. AUCKLAND, September 11. Frederick Doyle, a member of the Permanent Artillery, stationed at Auckland, died in the hospital this afternoon from the effects of burns sustained in a kerosene lamp accident on August 19th. Doyle was arranging the lamp in tile Drill Slied, when an explosion occurred, the flames quickly igniting his clothing and causing the injuries.
