ORANGE BLOSSOMS.

There was a large gathering at f. 1 Andrew’s Church yesterday alternc.n to witness tho marriage of .Alias Elbe East, second daughter of Mr. John East to Mr. Geo. Goldsmilh. The

Rev. AV. Grant performed tho ceremony, and Mr. C. East, cousin of the bride, presided at the organ. The bride was very handsomely attired in cream silk with lace trimmings and woro tho customary veil and orange blossoms. Sho was given away by her lather and was attended by four bridesmaids—her sisters, Misses Polly, Florrie, and AVinnio East and Miss Jessie Goldsmith, sister of tho bridegroom. The bridesmaids wore dressed in cream and heliotrope delaine with silk and lace trimming and hats to

match. Tho bridegroom’s present to the bride was a handsome shower bouquet and work-box, to tho chief brides, maid a gold muff-chain, and to the other bridesmaids gold brooches. . The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a set of gold sleeve-links. Tho bridegroom was attended by Mr. Reg. Goldsmith as best man tin the unavoidable absence of Air. Mahoney) and Mr. Albert East acted as groomsman. As the bride and bridegroom were leaving tho church Mr. (J. East played tho AA’edding Alarch. They were driven to the residence of the bride’s

parents, Childers Road, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast had been prepared for them, when fully sixty guests welcomed them. Air. James East proposed tho health of the bride and bridegroom, to which the bridegroom in a few words suitably replied, the best man replying to the toast of the bridesmaids. The toast of the host and hostess, Air. and Airs. John East, was proposed by the Adjutant of the Salvation Army. The Rev. Grant also spoke, Air. John East suitably responding, after which tho wedding party left by the steamer on their Honeymoon trip to Alasterton. The bride’s travelling dress was of brown cloth, with white flt toque. Tho happy couple wen Hie receipients of a large number oi '. cry handsome and useful presents.
