Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 10. The following transfers and promotions ltave recently been made in the Bank of New Zealand:—A. J. Dixon, New Plymouth, has been appointed accountant at Hunterville; A. S. Willson, Paeroa, appointed accountant and assayer a.t Thames; A. R, Bus’ll, accountant at Thames, has been made manager at Paeroa ; L. H. Gr.i-mstone, manager at Paeroa, becomes manager at Waitara in succession to R. J. Mlitthews, who takes lengthened leave of absence preparatory to retiring on pension. Mr. Matthews has been in the service of the bank over 38 years. H. W. "Were, accountant at New Plymouth, takes the management of the Mangaweku branch.
