FOOTBALL. On Saturday next a team representing tile Napier City Cadets will arrive in Gisborne to pliy a match wit'll a team from the Gisborne Defence Cadets. The Napier team will return home on the following day. The Rugby Union decided last night to declare th.e local cup fixtures over and to bracket the three teams on the banner. Permission was granted the Gisborne Cadets for the use of Victoria Domain to play a match with the Napier City Cadets on Saturday the 13tli inst. AUCKLAND v. POVERTY BAY. The Poverty Bay representatives met. last evening at Messrs Dalgetv | and Co.’s wool store. Read’s Quay, and indulged in some very useful scrum practice. Through the kind- I ness of Air. E.
