ESCAPE OF TWO PRISONERS.
Press Association. ROTORUA, September 9. Two prisoners escaped from Rotorua last night. They were last seen about 6 o’clock. When, the lockingup hour (7 o’clock) came round the prisoners were missing. Their names are Harry Taylor (alias Alfred White), and Frank Edwards. The former has served two months of a three years’ sentenco for indecency. Edwards served six months of a threp, years’ sentence for theft and false pretences. Their ages are respectively 20 and 19 years. The prisoners are supposed to be making foi Auckland. Sergeant 1\ att and two policemen are out in search, also warders from the Waiotapu prison.
