RENOUNCES CONNECTION • AVITH LIBERALS, LEAGUE CANDIDATES TO BE PUT UP. ' ( Press Association. j CHRISTCHURCH, September,fi. At a meeting of the Polit.Ji .il Labor League last night after a discussion concerning tho demands of the League from the Government it was resolved on tho motion of Mr. J. A. McCullough:—“That this branch of tile Independent Political Labor League, after a close study of the measures introduced by the AVa rd Ministry, .solemnly and sincerely declares this conviction: That the time lias gone by when the workers should attach any faith to promises made by the Liberal party or beg of Liberals or the Liberal party for those measures of refbrin so long advocated. This league. therefore, urges all those who have arrived at the same conclusion to rally round the Labor party of the colony who have determined to contest every seat for which a suitable candidate can bo obtained with the object of securing front Parliament the. justice denied by both the old political parties of tho colony.” It was decided that the Christchurch South, Riccarton, Avon and Lyttelton seats should he contested by the League’s candidates at the next general election. >
