ALLEGED THEFT,

Press Association! DUNEDIN, September 5. William Patrick Harrington, employed as salesman at- the Mutual Stores Drapery Co., was committed for trial to-day on a charge of theft of goods valued at £IOO. The thefts are alleged to have taken place in small parcels at various periods between December, - 1906, and August, 1907. Ladies’ silk blouses, underclothing, children’s clothing, men’s socks, singlets, and some glassware are ihcluded ill the goods claimed, more or less definitely, as belonging to the company. Accused, who k about 26 vears of ago, was admitted to bail in his own recognisances of £l5O and two sureties of £75 each.
