The, totalisator takings for both days was £13,570, against £12,420 for lust year. There were a nuni'ber of spills in the Steeplechase, and E. WhAtehouse, tho rider of Biillwortih, received internal injuries, and was removed to a private hospital. Results:
Telegraph—Waiiiuku 1, St. Glaimer 2, Silver. Shell 3. Also ran: Frisco, Gawiain. Won- comfortably by a length. Time, lmin 33soc. -Dividend, £2 4s. ■Hunters’ Hurdles—-Poplar 1, Earmark 2, Oryx 3. Also ran: Waiiton, Netlierby, Walk-ura, Waterworks, Alsop, Lifebuoy. Won by a length. Time, 3min 47sec. Dividends, £3 11s and £3 15s.
•Electric—lvareron 1, Nuk-utihi 2, Narrow Escape 3. Also ran: Goldwai, Perl-ie, Alpigene. Won easily by two lengths. Time, lmin lOsec. Dividends, £3 4s and 11s. Hack Steeplechase—Redshank 1, Morpeth 2, Columbine 3. Also ran: Peruvian, Pilot, Rullworth, Kereru, Whipcord, Miangolia. -Only tlie placed horses finished; the others fell. Won easily. - Time, oniiii 33sec. Dividends, £l4-2s and £1 14s.
Marion: Handicap—St. Joe 1, Saga 2, Lyrist 3. Also ran : St. Albent, Mnihoe, Hiro. A good finish. Won by half a length. Time, 2man ISsec. Dividends, £2 11s and £1 los. Welter Handicap—Belario 1, White Lie 2, Commander 3. Also ran: Oatseye, Sylvan Park, Glen-afric,JCiil-larney. Won easily by three lengths. Time, lmin 42 3-ssec. Dividends, £1 9s and £1 ss. Second Hurdles —Duleinea 1, Compass 2, Leoridia 3. Also ran: W ilton, Hurimoana, Ra'hui. .Won by |a head. Time, 3xnin 17 2-osec. Dividends, £2 2s and £2 17s. ! Final Scurry—Ney 1, Pearlie 2, Green-leaf 3. Also ran: Pixie, King’s Post, Nordoff, Porangi, Muskerade, Akurongo, Noke, Atu. Wdn by a short head. A protest for boring was dismissed. Time, 55sec. Dividends, £2 -and £1 11s.
