At. a largely-attended • meeting of .the Anglers’ Club to-night it was decided to'recommend "the Council of the local Acclimatisation Society to protest against any restrictions of catches in the.. North Canterbury district. Tlie general .opinion expressed was that the gazetted regulations which prescribed the restrictions gave to each acclimatisation society power to make.local regulations overriding the Gazette regulations.
