ITS UTILITY EXPLAINED. Press Association. INVERCARGILL, September 3. In reply to the protest of the local Wednesday Half-Holiday Association, the Hon. J. A. Millar wires that he has no intention of taking away the Saturday half-holiday from those who have enjoyed it for rears. The Bill was framed to meet the case of country towns dependent almost entirely ori the trade of people from a distance, whereas towns like Invercargill have trade within themselves irrespective of tho country trade.
