FOOTBALL.
RUGBY UNION. The usual weekly meeting of tlio P.B. Rugby Union was held last night. It was decided that the senior cup final (AVost End v. Takitimu) be played on Saturday next., .As it was found impossible to get together a sufficiently strong team it was decided that no junior rep. match be played this season against Hawke’s Bay. The selection committee for the match against Auckland were instructed to pick the t'eam on AVednesday evening. The following senior players for the Takitimu team were passed:—Cookery, Tulioi, Rangi. A letter was received from the New Zealand Rugby Union asking for the following information: —Tho names of the clubs under the Union’s jurisdiction; the number of members in each club ; the number of active players in each club; the number of teams entered for competitions during tho season. A long list of disqualifications were received from tho New Zealand Union. Letters were received from tho centres to which it had been intended to send a touring team, regretting that tho team would not. he sent, but endorsing tho action of the local union.
