Press Association. AUCKLAND, September 1. Tlie total gold returns for August for the Auckland district amounted to £1,008,380 11s 9d, the Waihi G.M. Company contributing £65,160, and" the Talisman Company £18,500. The Customs duties for the port of Auckland for the month of August totalled £71,033, and the beer duty to £1984, as against £67,477 and £1656 lasi August. _,’ The exports of gold and silver totalled 36,4510 z (£145.292) and 102.4780 z (£15.941) respectively, as against 22,3810 z (£90,652) and 1115630 z (£11,330) in August, 1906.
