ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
Pres; Association. ASHBURTON, August 29. During the progress of the representative football match at Ashburton to-day between North Canterbury and Ashburton, a Canterbury olaver named H. Jeffries, of Coburn, met with an accident, and sustained a broken leg. He collided with an Ashburton Player named A. Patterson. The play was not rough, and the accident was pure misadventure:'
