ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

Press Association. DUNEDIN, August 28. A man mimed W. A. Millar, 40 years of age, who was arrested last night on a charge of drunkenness, hanged himself in his cell in the gaol to-day. Miller was before the Court at 10.30 a.m., and was remanded for n week for medical treatment. At 12 o’clock he received his dinner, but an hour later was found suspended by the neck from a' small hook in the wall. Deceased hanged himself with a leather belt. Millar was a recent arrival from Scotland, and so fur as is known had no friends or relatives in Dunedin.
