An instance of the remarkable vitality possessed by the cat has just been demonstrated at Horbling, near Billingborough. A fiue crossbred I’ersinn mysteriously disappeared from its home, and sixteen days later was found in an open field firmly secured in a rabbit trap. Notwithstanding the animals long and painful confinement and exposure to the heavy rains, it was still alive. It was, however, reduced to a. mere skeleton, and unable to wal'k, but under proper treatment- is now recovering.
