A STRANGE EPIDEMIC.
(Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, August 11. Tho epidemic of thieving in Parliament buildings continues. Brushes, combs, scissors, ami even soap have "disappeared mysteriously. The latest thefts have been of Mr. Wittoner’s valuable book on the legends of the Maori, four copies of the work having been abstracted from members’ boxes. One member is reported to have sold his copy of the book, wortli a guinea, for two sliillings.
