SEEN ON THE AUAIHI BEACH Press Association.

AVELLINGTON, August 12 A large- seal, supposed to be one of tlie Exhibition seals, has been discovered on tlie AVaihi beach in the t ßay of Plenty. It was quite tame and permitted a party who made tlie discovery to lay hands on it. They attached a rone to it with the object of leading it to their camp but the seal made off bringing tlie hauling ’arty after it. Eventually the men had to let go and the seal escaped with the rope. , 1
