In accordance with an agreement between tho New South Wales and Queensland selection committees, under which in” case of a deadlock the deciding vote is exercised by New South Wales, the selection of a team to represent Australia on Saturday next was decided last night; the New i South Wales selector, taking advantage of the agreement, exercised a deciding vote, with the result that Queensland players are excluded, and the team will be the same as that which defeated New Zealand on July I 17. The Queensland Union feels the I position keenly, and the result probably will he a discontinuance of combined teams representing New South I Wales and Queensland.
