United Press Association—Copyright Received July 31, 9.53 p.m. LONDON, Jtily 31. In the House of Commons the Finance Bill was read a third time on a Laborite challenge by 232 to 91. Mr. Asquith, replying to criticisms, incidentally compared the prices of giltedged securities here to those prevailing in Germany. He said Britain’s credit was still better than any cther country. Treasury bills and Exchequer bonds were now reduced to a manageable amount, and the sinking fund was applied alternatively to the War loan and to Consols.
