INSPECTORS ASKED FOR. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, last night. Mr. l’oole wishes to make it obligatory upon all racing clubs to close the totalisator at least five minutes before the advertised time of the starting of each race and that no investments bo allowed to be rung on the totalisator after the advertised time of starting, the penalty for any breach of this provision upon being reported to the Colonial Secretary to be the immediate cancellation of the club’s license to use the totalisator at any future meeting of the club, and to * provide that inspectors bo appointed by the Government and paid for by the racing clubs using the totalisator, whose duties shall be to watch and check all investments on the totalisator and to see that, no investments are rung on it after the advertised time for the starting of each race.
