A BLASTING ACCIDENT.
Press Association. - AUCKLAND, July 30. Tho City Council’s foreman reported: that /aCJ&.lo.ito-day a blasting accident occurred at the .stone crusher a£ Mount Eden. One, .of . the men was loading the powder lfole and while'jfputting the powder down to thebb'ottom of the hole with a bar an explosion occurred. A man named-! William Heares had his arms badly lacerated, below the elbows, the hemorrhage being very bad. His right log was ‘also hurt. He was sent to the hospital. Another man Ben Smith, had the back of his right hand skinned and his left arm burnt.
