Squall which left Auckland for Gisborne on Saturday evening had not been reported up till 5 o’clock last night. The river presented a forlorn appearance yesterday being entirely free from outside, shipping of any kind. „ 1 . , The Union Co.’s s.s. Haupiri leaves Napier to-morrow evening and is expected to arrive here on Friday morning. She proceeds to Auckland via East Coast ports. Last launch at- S a.m.
