Constable O’Hara has received notice of his transfer to Auckland and leaves on Wednesday next. Constable Tait, of the northern city, will nil the vacancy R Eastj w ho has been relieving clerk for tho Tai-Rawliiti Land Board for some time past, will leaic for Wellington on Wednesday next to resumo liis duties in the 1.ea.1 office ol the Native Land Department. Mr. E. R. Broughton, of the Wellington office, has received tho permanent appointment of clerk to the Board. Mr. East has proved a very capable and popular officer, and but for the great, er chances of promotion at the head office, official representation would have been made that he should recen c the Gisborne appointment.
