THE LAND TAX.
(Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, last- night. For some years past a return has been asked for regarding the amount of land tax paid by lease-in-perpetu-ity settlers, ft lias now been returned with the word “nil” written upon it. I understand that a similar return for last year will shew that over 400 l.i.p. holders had to pay land tax.
