WELLINGTON, last night, A few months ago, Mother Mary Joseph Aubert’s Home of Compassion, a retreat for incurable orphan children, was opened. The building cost £16,000. What are believed to be serious defects in the building have now been discovered. Deports from experts state that the heavy iron girders supporting the first floor have sagged. 'There is also a good donl of leakage through the walls and roof. Mother Aubert has been given to understand that the cost of remedying the defects will run into a thousand pounds. Mother Joseph is considerably embarrassed as to what shall be done with the children under her care.
