Prime quality Canterbury brands 4fd, North Island 3§d. Lamb is in steady demand, chiefly for light weight. Canterbury osd, other brands od. Beef is steady. Hinds arc at 3Jd, fores 3Jd. Butter is lifeless oxcept for very best quality. Choicest New Zealand is at 99s 9d, Danlsli 109 s. There is no change in cheese since last week. Hemp is quiet but firm at unchanged rates. Cocksfoot- seed is firm. A better demand is experienced,- and prices aro rising. Bright, clean New Zealand seed, Idb to the bushel, on spot, is at 58s per cwx.
