The Tyser Co.’s s.s. lndradevi sails for Wellington this morning, whore she loads coal and proceeds to London next Tuesday. Messrs Richardson and Co. s s.s. Toroa is due at this port on Wednesday next front Southern ports with produce. The Union Co.’s s.s. AY anaka arrived from South early yesterday' morning, with a general cargo, and sailed foF Auckland at 10.30 a.m. The Union Co.’s Tarawera from Auckland will arrive late on Sunday night. She will be tendered by the Tuatea at 6 o’clock on Monday morning. . . The auxiliary schooner Kaeo is due from Auckland and Coast hays. The scow Rambler is at present loading at Opua with kauri timber for Messrs Peacocke and Co. The scows Southern Isle and Welcome go on vile slip at Auckland for their annual overhaul. After that they proceed to Alangatete to load full cargoes of timber for Alessrs Peacocke and Co.
The Union Co.’s s.s. Squall leaves Auckland for Gisborne via Tolaga Bay to-day T at noon. . Owners of coastal vessels sailing out of Auckland are arranging a general advance in freights, which they attribute to tb 0 increased expense caused by pressure of the shipping laws. The schooner Stanley, from Sydney bound for Napier, put into Auckland yesterday to replenish stores. The" voyage occupied 27 days, and was a stormy one. Captain Halcrow was slightly injured by a heavy sea which broke on board.
