AN INDIGNANT CHINAMAN.
United Press Association—Copyright SYDNEY, July 11. The Chinaman _ referred to, in tilt meat scandal indignantly repudiated Mr. Decey’s assertions, which he attributes to jealousy against one who has carried on a successful business lor 30 years, and to the fact that he is a Chinaman.
Received July 12, 11.49 p.m. SYDNEY, July 12. James Thomson, carcase butcher, who is the Chinaman referred to in Parliament in respect to allegations regarding ba_d meat, was. fined ,c,io for disposing of tho carcase of a cow in a shocking state of tuberculosis to a firm who displayed it for sale in Sydney. Defendant pleaded that the tow belonged to his son, who was not aware it was diseased, and killed it and sent it to the distribution stores. When he (defendant) heard what had been done lie used every endeavor to get the animal back.
