The Reichsbets, the organ of the German Protestants, declares that malicious English intrigues were the solo cause of the accusations of maltreatment of natives preferred against Dr. Peters. It accuses Ambassador Lascelles of bribing a German journalist to circulate 'stories discrediting the German colonial policy.
