Press Association. WESTPORT, last night. Although rain and hail fell heavily at T o’clock to-night, there was a larfe and representative meeting of the public in the Town Hall to-night to urge the Engineer to place a substantial vote on tjae Estinjates for the Westport-Reefton railway. A resolu-
tion setting the views of the meeting was carried unanimously, and it was decided to request the Various local bodies, the Railwav League, and the Chamber of Commerce to join the unions and others to send a thoroughly representative deputation to Wellington to'interview the Cabinet oil the matter.
