AMERICAN TOBACCO TRUST.

United Press Association—Cop fright Received Julv 12, 0.55 a.m. LONDON, July 11. The Dailv Telegraph’s New York correspondent states that the Government asks an injunction restraining the corporations composing the Tobacco Trust from operating as a ’ombiiiation in restraint of trade between the States. The Government makes each of the Trust’s 64 subsidiary corporations defendants. The British and American Tobacco Comoanv is also included. President Roosevelt’s proposal asks for the appointment of receivers to the Tobacco Trust and other corporations. It is everelv criticised by the. Press as tantamount to the adoption of Government ownership.
