All*. Afillors presented a busy appearance yesterday morning when the box plans for the forthcoming visit of All*. Julius Knight and All* J. C. Williamson's new English dramatic company were opened. The company appears foj* three nights. On Monday “Ratios” (The Amateur Cracksman) will be produced. This remarkable play by B. W. Horimng and Eugene W, Presbrey has proved an exceptional draw during this tour. The story in a novel one and full of interest. It tells of the strange doings of one A.AV. Raffles, otherwise the amatner cracksman. He is a man of culture, a splendid fellow all round, a brilliant cricketer, but still a cracksmans. The noble part of his character stands out, in hold relief to the dark side. Air. Knight’s conception of this complex character is said to ho complete ill every detail and well carried out. On Tuesday. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s remarkable work Brigadier Gerard will lie staged. In this play Air. Knight, in the character of Captain Gerard, has the part of a dashing officer of Hussars to play and a contemporary says*.—“The new piece owes much of its success to Air.
