Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, yesterday. Henry Woodhouse was yesterday committed to trial by two Justices on a charge of robbing the Tramway Board of £122. He was a clerk in tho Board’s, employ. CHRISTCHURCH, last night. Two young mon, named Henry Cox and Cecil J. Wates, pleaded guilty today to five charges of forgery, and wero cited to the Supreme Court for sentence. A third, John Downie Stewart, alleged to be implicated in two of the charges, pleaded not guilty and was cited for trial. George Roper, licensee of the Star and Garter Hotel, was convicted today of permitting drunkenness on bis premises and gambling by playing quoits for drinks. On the charge ol permitting gambling he was fined 40s, and on the other charge lie was fined £.O. Mis license was also ordered to be endorsed.
