Forty-five dairy cows are advertised for sale by Mr. C. Smith. Tenders for the purchase of a cottage for removal close with the Cook County Clerk oil the 19tli inst. Tenders are wanted for felling about 300 acres of light bush at Hangaroa.

The resident engineer of the Public Works Department notifies that tenders will be received until July 13tli for the erection of a courthouse at Tolaga Bay. Alessrs. H. J. A correpondent of the Christchurch Press says it is understood that the donor whom the Alinister for Lands announced at the recent National Dairy Show • would give £IOOO towards the establishment of a Government herd of Shorthorns is no other than Air. AlcNab himself.
