Press Association. PALMERSTON, yesterday. Tlie police raided Chinese premises in town on Saturday night in search Ji opium smokers, but only one Celestial was caught. His outfit, including an opium jiixie and the usual paraphernalia, was seized, and the delinquent will appear before the Court in the ordinary course. GREYMOUTH, yesterday. A Chinaman was fined £lO and costs for having in his possession two pounds of opium.
