HOSPITAL CONTRIBUTIONS.
Press Association. WELLINGTON, Saturday. A deputation representing variour local bodies waited on the Hon. Mr. TV. rids this morning regarding Wellington hospital management, and asked for such an alteration in the law as would provide for contributions for hospital and charitable aid being arranged on a per capita instead of a valuation basis; and further that the Government should have direct representation on the Hoard. The Minister replied that.it would be dillieult- and hardly desirable to change the present basis of contributions. It was unlikely a Bill prepared by the Government dealing with ’Hospitals and charitable aid would go through this session. The whole question was being considered by the Inspector General of Hospitals.
