SWEATED GOODS.
Press Association. DUNEDIN. Saturday. A deputation from the Dunedin Progressive Society waited on the Trades and Labor Council with the object- of enlisting tlieir co-operation in dealing with the sweated goods exhibition shown here a few months ago, and devising some means for preventing goods manufactured under those conditions being imported into New Zealand. The Qouncil liavo appointed a committee to act with the society in the direction indicated. A short time ago the Minister of Labor informed the Council that articles of similar character to those exhibited were being imported into New Zealand.
